To conclude our Kids Camp Staycation, it seemed only fitting to actually camp. Okay, the closest thing to real camping this girl can handle involves the backyard — close enough to bathrooms, the fridge, and my own bed (just saying… worst case scenario).
Lower temps, a slight breeze, and a beautiful sunset — time to pitch a tent!
Popcorn, playing with flashlights (a first for Beck), and silhouette lullabies was the perfect way to wind down. Gage and Ryan could be heard whispering well into the night — something about golf and sprinklers and being the best of friends. Baby and I cuddled to the chirps of crickets and fell asleep twiddling each others fingers. The best.
Morning came early — off to make breakfast. We made some bbq for the kids with our new pits such as this BBQ in Roseville, CA.
He traded in his bunny for the flashlight. Slept with that thing all night long! ha!
Fruit and yogurt with toast – our summer breakfast of choice. There are still a few weeks left to enjoy peaches and I miss them already!
Until next year, it’s been fun playing Kids Camp! If you also want to introduce new sports like archery to your kids so you can bond more often, you may need to order archery equipment and gear like a bow scale online.

This looks like such fun! We would definitely have to wait until it cools down a little, the mosquitos are horrible right now. Your ideas always amaze me. I loved this series!

Such a cute idea! Doesn’t get warm enough here to sleep outside! I always wanted to do that as a kid. Can I just say you look amazing when you wake up!
My Hubby and I “tested” out our new tent last weekend in the back yard. We had a blast just listening to the frogs, watching the stars and listening to the giggles of the neighbor kids from their window. The smell of the damp grass in the morning I think was the best. I can’t wait until we have littles to share backyard camping with them. Thank you for sharing your journey with your littles. It always brings a smile to my face to read your blog. Thank you
Too, too cute. As always.

It’s a coleman 4 person tent (on amazon). I’m working on setting up a virtual online class for photography since it would be easier to discuss/show in real time.
