We’re going on a bug hunt! Well, Gage is going on a bug hunt and we’re along for the ride . The weather has been beautiful these past few days making us confident Spring is here to stay.
“I bet there’s big bugs in there… WAY big ones,” he says. Yes, I’m sure there are, son… cicadas, ticks and rats (which aren’t bugs; but are big and scary. So, basically they’re the same thing).
The dawdlers a ways behind – induced by LuLu who has to stop every few feet to see if she picks up on her boyfriend’s “scent”.
Happy little guy who loves hearing birdies cheep! And Lulu who is clearly out of shape… needing to take a rest only after walking 5 minutes.
Inspecting flowers in hopes of spotting a bug…
Oooh! A pillow for my ladybug (that we have yet to find).
Spotting the tiniest of birdhouses made by the tiniest of hands. If I were a bird, I’d choose this house based on the glitter alone.
Taking time to stop and smell the flowers at a hot spot for spotting fuzzy bumble bees! We didn’t see any bees; but we did find a ladybug! More like, Gage spotted it and I tried to catch it as it flew away. Desperately looking around for another one, something miraculous happened… one literally landed right into my hand!
Once back home, we inspected our finds (especially the ladybug). Although, Beckam was more keen on tumbling the cage and seeing the flowers roll. Poor little ladybug – I’m sure she was dizzy, to say the least.
Baby wasn’t too keen on Gage taking his turn. Sharing – that thing hopefully they’ll learn in a year or two…
Time to set our sweet little ladybug free! Thank you for making two little boys very happy and for reminding us that even the tiniest things can bring great joy!

HiI’ve tried signing up for your post updates twice but haven’t received anything in my email box. Did I do something wrong?
I have, too! If there is something you can do to add followers, please add me as well. Your blog is great – so “real life”!
I love, love, love your blog and follow it daily. Your children are soooo precious and will adore that you have chronicled their childhood in this way…if they don’t, I know their future wives will. I assume you know that ladybugs are good luck? Too cool that you were looking for one and one landed on your hand!
Oh my goodness! What town is this? It looks like it came right out of a perfect movie : )
Gorgeous pictures of the adventures of boys! I loved every one!
I love this !!! I am currently expecting baby #1 and can’t wait for days like that !!! What type of camera do you use ?
You live on the cutest street and have the most beautiful little family. Do you plan on having more children? If so I can’t wait for you to have a little girl. She would be so precious and probably the stylish little girl ever! What stores do you shop for your boys at?
Missy, where did you get the baby’s Yellow Submarine t-shirt? I need it!!!?
