Spontaneous? Us? Nah! Bug stayed home with her neighborhood boytoy, Levi (she welcomes our absence knowing she gets snuggles from her’s truly… I’m thinking a doggy wedding may be in the works).
We took a quick little day trip down to Charleston. Um guys? If you’ve never been to this place it’s breathtakingly beautiful… in a McMansion dollhouses and cobblestone streets kind of a way. It’s just down right southern charm at it’s finest.
After full bellies of fried chicken, random amazing seafood hodgepodge, berry & peach cobbler, mango & grapefruit gelato, and cupcakes… we were headed back home. Oh yeah, but not before playing in a fountain or two.
We need to be spontaneous EVERY weekend. I’m tapping my scepter twice and making this a new household law.
PSST! Good thing LuLu is… a’hem… fixed, because she came home looking like a hot mess. Word on the street – they slept in the same bed. GASP! ssh. I know. I’ve got a hussy for a hound dog. With paw raised, she seconds the new (get outta town) law!
Don’t forget to enter the giveaways from yesterday… closes Sunday.
Beautiful, beautiful pictures! Come photograph my wedding . Please ;). It sure looks like southern charm at its finest! One of these days ill have to take a road trip from Jersey!
I’d gladly take them! But I’m no pro by any means. Check out Brandy… she travels for weddings! wink wink. And yes, Charleston would definitely be worth the trip! It’s a must see!
Ahhh Charleston. My sister and her family used to live there and I would love to visit. Now they moved to Buffalo… NY… yes, not quite as exciting. 🙂 I love the mansions, the style, the crafts… it’s just amazing. Except the gigantic bugs and humidity, it’s just perfect. 🙂
Surprisingly I thought I’d be sweltering but it was cool enough to wear a cardi! Yes, everything about Charleston is romantic southern charm at it’s best. How fun that your sister used to live there! Happy weekend, Kerri.
Gorgeous! What a cute place. Makes me want to go there. Great pictures!!! I love the southern style!
You could set up shop in the market (there’s an entire street devoted to market vendors) and on Saturdays they do another vendor event in the park. It’s crazy cool how many talented people are there! It’s an artistic city for sure! Your goods would sell like cupcakes!
LOVE the pics! Looks like you got to experience the BEST of Charleston :))) besides me of course…. 😉
Next time we’ll meet up for a beach picnic with little boys. Yes? I think so.
SO JEALOUS! One of my favorite galleries in the whole country is in Charleston! Did you have a chance to check out any art? I’ve got to make my way there someday. 🙂
We didn’t do art scoping this time. In trips past, most definitely. You’ll have to see it for yourself, my friend! xo
I love Charleston and its only 4 hours from Atlanta so an easy weekend trip! I actually had my bachelorette party there 4 years ago!
That is just a hop skip and a leap away, isn’t it! How fun!!
Charleston, my home away from home…away from home. Anytime we have the chance- we pack up the kids and go. The galleries, food, beaches and history…what’s not to love?
You kill me Vanessa! Haha! I think that city just spells LOVE.
Such precious pics and what a great blog 🙂 you have a beautiful family!!
You made my heart smile. Thanks, Marissa! 🙂
girlfriend! you amaze me… how in the world do you sport that cute cardi and hot white pants in the heat! while you were looking dainty, i was trying my best to keep my cool in a bikini on the SC beach. if i put anything more than a flowy tank, the sweat would drip. i dont think this california girl is cut out for the southern humidity!
Next time, come have a weekender with us in sunny san diego, mmmk??
love,
Maryam
Mmmk for SURE! One of my besties lives there and I’ve been meaning to see her for awhile. My scepter needs to arrange this! haha! love ya! xo
GASP! That is a scandal! :O
haha!
You look so lovely and this place looks so gorgeous! I want to go!!
We’ll get your cute batoot down here, then! haha! Plus, LuLu would love for you to give her stern talking to (or maybe I would).
just got back from a week in Charleston. My best friend moved there 5 years ago South of Broad. Fabulous! my daughter loves the pineapple fountain!
Glad she moved south of broad because Slightly North of Broad would make her a SNOB. Jk. Yes, the pineapple fountain is beautiful right now with all the gorgeous purple flowers scattered everywhere! Glad you enjoyed your time, Joanne. 🙂
Charleston looks like a beautiful place, I’d love to visit!
Greetings from Mexico!
Welcome new friend! So glad you found us! We’d love to visit Mexico… hmm… Husby? I have an idea for next weekend!
It looks beautiful there!
