Call him a hare, rabbit, or bunny. But any way you fill him he’s an adorable Easter classic (even when eaten on a stick) I love the traditional design of this mold and the numerous uses of the finished bunnies. I plan to give some away as gifts and/or use as a table centerpiece.
1. Bunny Candy Molds by Nordic Ware
(currently sold at Target in the Easter section. not sold online)2. Ghirardelli Candy Making White Chocolate (or baking chips)
3. Ghirardelli Candy Making Milk/Dark Chocolate (or baking chips)
4. Thin Decorating Ribbon
6. Squeeze Bottle for Piping (optional)
1. Place chocolate in a microwaveable safe bowl. Microwave on high for 1 min. Stir. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between, until chocolate is completely melted.
2. Pour melted chocolate into a squeeze bottle and fill candy mold half way. Tap gently against the counter to release any air bubbles.
3. Insert lollipop sticks and fill completely with chocolate. Tap lightly again.
4. Let rest 5 minutes at room temperature before placing on a flat surface in the freezer for ~20 minutes or until set.
5. Gently tap against the counter to release and tie ribbon bows to the base.
To use as gifts: Package with cellophane lollipop bags & attach a tag saying, “Some Bunny Loves You”
To use as a centerpiece: Fill a planter or pot with floral arrangement foam. Insert bunny pops and top with shredded paper easter grass.
