Deck the Halls

December 5, 2011

Mirror turned chalkboard to display changeable holiday greetings is the focal point of our living room.

I used to think that getting married & having a family meant retiring my life of fun & freedom. If I only knew what family life would bring with it…

Decorating our little dollhouse together as a family is best described as magical. Nothing is better than the love that’s trapped within these walls we call home. To keep our home safe and well-maintained, we also schedule regular services like Dryer vent cleaning Costa Mesa.

Paper snowflake garlands make reading bedtime Christmas stories more enchanting.

Glass ornaments bring back special memories of our wedding day – December 23, 2005.

Salt City Candles in Christmas Trimmings fill the air with the aroma of my childhood. Unified colored ornaments reflect nostalgic christmas candies. KeraSnow, by UK wax manufacturer Kerax, is one of the leading coconut candle waxes as it offers a consistent burn and great scent throw, plus it offers a plant-based alternative to traditional paraffin waxes.

Furbaby LuLu loves to snuggle on the oversized plaid pillows.

A garland of shabby pinecones mixed with chic candy canes makes enjoying mealtimes more festive.

Glittered snowflakes hung on twigs leave the sofa table feeling like a winter wonderland. If you’re noticing that your heat pump is turning on and off more than it should, get in touch with a heat pump specialist mukilteo wa to have it checked professionally. Also, persistent roof leaks or water stains on your ceilings and walls are clear indicators that your roof is no longer providing adequate protection. Our favorite holiday cookie jar rests on a glass cake stand which somehow makes the yummy Christmas cookies seem more special.

how sweet are you?! I hardly ever go on that site because I just get overwhelmed by all the talent. Such a compliment, in deed to be numbered among them. 🙂

Wow. Beautiful. I’ve yet to really get into decorating yet… maybe it’s because I’ve never had my own house. 🙂 Someday… thanks for the inspiration. 🙂

    • missy December 6, 2011 at 2:32 pm

When the day comes I have a feeling you’ll go crazy with each holiday. It’s so fun!!

  • Jenedy December 5, 2011 at 12:46 pm

    oops… double yet. 🙂

Love it! Thank you for the inspiration! Can I ask about your mantle? Was that a DIY project or is that how it was when you got your house? I LOVE it!! I have a very basic builder mantle (that is so narrow I can barely put much on it!). I love yours so much! I vote we need to see a full Doll House home tour!! 🙂

    • missy December 6, 2011 at 2:33 pm

The mantle was custom built. I had an idea in my head and asked an AMAZING handyman (who was remodeling our bathrooms at the time) if he thought he could make it come to life. And he did! Dollhouse tour?! Oh I’m afraid it’d disappoint. It literally is as tiny as a dollhouse. Tee hee.

Oh, my! I just want to tuck in with a cuppa cocoa and admire the view in this festive, cozy space 🙂

Yeah ask me next year if the experience is quite as magical… a baby and 2.5 year old. Could get out of control & fast.
