It’s been unseasonably cold around here; but we aren’t complaining. Gage is especially excited to see what colors each new morning brings. We’ve stored all our summer clothes; and I finally convinced Husby to wake our hibernating furnace. Oh and lots of cozy comfort food has snuck it’s way onto the dinner table, too!
Here’s a few other things we’ve got on our fall bucket list before the eggnog and twinkly lights come and deck our halls!
Halloween Parties
Painting pumpkins
An evening of Smores & Stories
Autumn leaves luncheon
Homemade sugared donuts & cider
Obviously more pumpkin pancakes
Playing in leaves (daily)
Corn mazes
What’s on your list? Any fun family traditions you do each year? I’m ALL ears!
You can’t post pictures of food without sharing the recipe! It’s just not fair. I am salivating over here! π
cinny rolls coming to a post near you!
We invited our little friends over for a pizza + popcorn movie night in early November. Fun for the kids to snuggle on the couch with their besties.
Fun tradition!
I love this time of year too. It is the best. I feel lucky to live in the east where the colors are so insane. We like to go the farm markets and eat their homemade apple fritters. Lots of hot cocoa and apple cider too.
you had to be there
Never had an apple fritter. Sounds like something Husby would inhale… a donut dude, for sure. Fritters? Donuts? are they similar? Teach me the ways. haha!
MMM this time of year is so much fun for family cuddles and crock pot recipes!!
super cute photos! that is a great list!
Adorable pictures ! Love fall !

What is that delicious looking cinnamon roll? Can you link the recipe? It looks amazing!
They’re a recipe I created. I’ll be posting soon!
can you share the chili recipe?? it looks so yummy!
please! π the weather is getting PERFECT for it!
You put raisins and nuts in your cinnamon rolls, too?!? I thought my mom was the only one who did that. I personally HATED that, but I’m sure I’m the only one. π
You’re a cute young momma….hold tight to the bitty ones while you can. Soon they grow into huge-consuming-entire-packages-of-crackers-and-a-gallon-of-milk-teenagers that are taller than you.
But that’s when the fun REALLY begins! (Trust me!)
Speaking of Halloween parties – would love to see a post from you about ideas for couples Halloween costumes. I’m in need of some inspiration and you’re so creative!
We’re doing Ken & Barbie for one party… Some other ideas: Native Americans (I wanted to dress boho, husby didn’t), sick and tired (one looks sick, the other tired), piΓ±ata and a kid with a bat (one couple did this and it has hilarious), obviously food pairings is always fun. Let me know what you decide on.
I saw the funniest outfit on pinterest. A man dressed up in a business suit holding a ginormous check and a woman in a robe and rollers. (Publisher’s Clearing House)
ooh this is my favorite time of year.. well, that you are describing. I live in california and it was 90 degrees today.. π Hopefully it will become fall/winter pretty soon here π I cant wait for some good cuddle time with hot chocolate in hand!
Just so you know, I screamed, Leo laughed at me. Gosh I love you guys.
