Jose Eber Event

April 4, 2013

I had the complete honor and privilege of traveling to Beverly Hills for a Jose Eber Hair event in conjunction with Wella and Elle Magazine. It was a night of pampering, networking, and fun! One of my dear friends in San Diego, Julie (who I haven’t seen in years) was able to attend with me! Have to say, Jose was hilariously charming and opinionated (in all the right ways)… a guy I dearly appreciate. Call Proper Pour Events for Triad area bartending service to bring the same level of fun and flair to your next event.

Jose requested loose “beachy curls” to offset my look. I had planned to wear leather; but switched to tulle last minute… What can I say, I’m indecisive when it comes to what to wear.

Kelli working some makeup magic! I wanted to pack her up in my suitcase and bring her home with me!

Meeting one of my newest friends, Leo of Max Mara. One of those people you instantly connect with and know there’s a reason for it.

Julie said something off the wall. Probably had something to do with my eating one too many chicken kabobs or berry tarts. A girl gets hungry playing this hard, ok? ha!

Meeting more beautiful ladies (including Max Mara stylist and Katherine Kelly Lang of The Bold and The Beautiful). I’m eager to snag a gorgeous kaftan from her line!

Can’t thank the Tol team (representing Jose Eber) enough for making this a night I’ll never forget. Thank you for flying me out! You all know how to spoil a girl rotten! Mwah! xo

Stay tuned for an upcoming tutorial featuring Jose Eber Hair styling tools plus another great giveaway! To shop now, remember to use code: “PISTACHIO20” at checkout for 20% off your entire order.

  • Amy April 4, 2013 at 2:21 pm

Love your lace top! Where is it from?

    • missy April 8, 2013 at 2:21 pm

      Gotta love F21

  • Brittany April 4, 2013 at 2:29 pm

You look beautiful! Can’t imagine what that day was like. The beach curls were a perfect choice for the occasion in CA. I love Wella products. Finally found a mousse that doesn’t leave my hair crunchy and no damage while blow drying, yet still giving me that extra umph that I need with such fine hair.

Thanks for sharing your amazing adventure with all of us!

  • Michelle April 4, 2013 at 2:32 pm

How fun!! I have the Jose Eber blow dryer (thanks to your recommendation) and I could not live without it! Can’t wait to see your newest tutorial 🙂

  • Kim April 4, 2013 at 2:50 pm

Lucky Duck! I was just telling hubby last night how I never wanted to be that “frumpy mom”, how I wanted to try so hard to stay cute. But it’s so hard when you’ve got a toddler on one leg and an infant in an arm as you’re trying to do your hair and make up, and for what? To be puked on, pooped on, thrown dirt clods at, hair pulled, and basically destroyed all by 5:00! I told my man I needed a date night just so I could get all “guzzied up” for a change and go somewhere without my little goobers. What an amazing getaway, I cannot even imagine!

  • EMH April 5, 2013 at 10:08 pm

Hi! I’ve been loving on your blog for a few months now – your sunshiney smile and attitude are always sure to brighten my day. They did a fab job on an already beautiful girl! Love the beachy look 🙂

My comment is slightly unrelated to your post – I’ve been totally wanting to see a close up of your ring and hear your engagement story…and wedding story. I’m a married gal myself and it never fails to bring a smile to my face! Maybe a flashback post?

    Happy blogging and happy weekend!

    • missy April 8, 2013 at 2:25 pm

What a fun idea! Yes, I’ll see if I can do that! Our anniversary isn’t until December and our engagement was in July… Hmm. Husby’s birthday is coming up later this month. Maybe I can squeeze it in there? ha!

    Hi Missy,
Started reading your blog last fall and absolutely love it! I have gotten so many great tips from your blog not to mention I love your fashion sense. I was wondering if you would mind telling me what or where the purse is that you have in the first picture for the event. Thanks so much:)

    Jen

    • missy April 8, 2013 at 2:26 pm

Thank you for your loyal support, Jennifer! I’ll be posting the entire outfit (better shots) coming in a future post. The purse is also in an outfit scheduled for later this week. 🙂

  • Laura April 9, 2013 at 12:36 am

love the look… very sex and the city! 🙂

  • Grace Nielsen April 10, 2013 at 4:44 am

Where’d you get your pre-owned red soled beauties? It’s my dream to own a pair but I’m a poor girl with rich taste 😉

    • Samantha Anderson May 15, 2013 at 10:19 pm

If you have a consignment shop in your area, that would be a great place to search for some. They usually have them at significantly lower prices and in great condition. I’m not sure where you’re from but if you’re anywhere near the Connecticut area Roundabout and Second Time Around are two great ones. They have them in Greenwich and Westport. I believe there is are a few Second Time Around Shops in NYC as well. I hope this helps 🙂

  • Debra April 26, 2013 at 4:54 am

  • Amy May 15, 2013 at 8:25 pm

What straightener do you use from Jose Eber?

  • Jackie June 13, 2013 at 2:08 pm

Where is the bag from is Deux Lux? thanks!

  • Hannah July 19, 2013 at 9:24 pm

Hi Missy, I know this was kind of a long time ago, but I was just wondering how exactly they did your hair. Did they just use hot rollers for the top and a wand for the bottom and what kind of products? You look amazing and I love your blog!
    Thanks, Hannah 🙂
