Our 4th was a quietly relaxed one, filled with… yummy food, sunshine, family time at home, and sparklers! Tee hee {heart giggles}!!!
It’s the simple freedoms that we enjoy on a daily basis that makes this country so beautiful. I’m truly grateful for such a day to reflect upon all that we’ve been given & enjoy so abundantly as Americans.
P.S. Yes, I know it’s “technically” MOTM (member of the month) today… But um, hi. Did you notice our new lovelies on the far right side? Our sponsors are pretty sweet. Why? Because they’ll be hosting some awe.some. giveaways this month! But dontcha worry… Member of the Month will be returning in the upcoming months!
this is my favorite holiday! seeing everyone elses fun day makes me want to re-do our 4th of july! too much fun
I LOVE this holiday too! It’s up there with Valentine’s for me! Hope yours was wonderful, Christa.
Looks like a sweet family day! I missed the fourth of July so much! I could hear the fireworks in the distance in San Diego, and I wished I could be there. The fourth just isn’t the same in Mexico. 🙂 But… we did have some Australian and Japanese neighbors over for pasta and fresh breadsticks… does that count? 🙂
If it makes you feel any better… we missed it entirely last year – spent it in the ER with Bubs. Not a fond memory. And yes, Pasta counts. haha!
That hotdog looks delish, and that dogbow in her hair is so cute, haha! Happy {belated} 4th of July – great blog and great post!
Thank so much, Felicity! Yes… dogs (the kind we put relish on) are Husby’s favorite. I’ve received some e-mails about this Chicago style dog… I may just have to do a recipe post on it. Hope your 4th with yours was wonderful.
New follower 🙂

It was simple. And special. Just love the 4th! Hope yours was wonderful as well, Stefanie.
Looks like you guys had a great weekend! Gorgeous photos. I have no idea what is on that hot dog, but it looks amazing:)
Dog goes as follows: applegate beef hotdogs, shredded bib lettuce, relish: banana peppers, tomatoes, pickles, sweet onions, tossed in a mix of whole grain & yellow mustard, red wine vinegar, s&p… Makes me want one right now.
Oh my goodness. This sounds amazing! Thanks so much for sharing all of your great ideas:) I’m going to have to add this to my list to try!
