The beginning of a new year carries with it an ironic feeling, of sorts — optimistic yet a little unsettling about the unknowns that will surely happen. To rewind a year ago, I knew we’d be moving into a new home… I just didn’t realize that home wasn’t going to be the one we had purchased; but rather, built across the country. 2014 involved lots of change, many life lessons learned, closer relationships, a much anticipated soon-to-be baby girl, and much to be grateful for! This year, we’re resolving to: take one day at a time, filled with more of what matters most with the ones we love most! Come what may, we plan to make 2015 a year full of smiles!
January — 30 Pieces of Wisdom
February — Eat. Sleep. Snow + Snow Cream
March — Cake is Always a Good Idea
April — Egg Garden
May — We’re Moving + Boys Birthdays (2nd, 4th)
June — Pinch Me with Sprinkles on Top!
July — The Crack of Dawn + Land of the Free
August — Cooking with Flowers
September — Tiny Town
October — Dear Baby + C’est la Vie
November — Me, Oh My!
December — Family Date Night + Merry Christmas
Such a fun year and recap!
Yes you had a fun busy 2014..thanks for sharing & when will you be answering questions to your past posts?
Always fun to look back at the year just past. You’re family had quite the year, but I sense 2015 will be so amazing for you!
Wishing you all the best in 2015. Life is good!
Your pictures are always so fantastic!!!
Lovely, Missy. I would love to see your completed kitchen, what your wall color looks like with the cabinets you choose. Is it open to your family room with the fireplace? Are the fireplaces propane? Also would love to see your kids rooms.=) You have great taste and love seeing how it all comes together.
Also would like you to discuss your blonde sometime, I know you get all over foils, highlights, but how often do you go and do you know the color blonde they use? Thank you. Bet you are busy getting ready for baby girl. Would love to see the nursery too. Lots of requests to keep you busy.=) Thank you Thank you. xo
Yes, the main room is basically one big room (kitchen, dining, family) in one. Yes, all fireplaces are gas. Kids rooms are definitely a work in progress and it’ll be some time before I feel like I can give a decent home tour! ha 😉 For blonde, I use Aveda (not sure the formula) and go every 6 weeks. 🙂
Love this! I think you should do a post on photography tips because I love how beautiful you can make an everyday photo! 🙂
I’d be happy to do a video tutorial on some photography pointers!
What a beautiful year! I love all of these photos summed up! Thanks for sharing and cheers to 2015! xo C
Love this post and I LOVE all of your photos! I am sure you have been asked this a million times, but what camera body do you use? What is your go-to lens? Thank you so much and your family is adorable. And I can’t wait to see Baby Girl in a few months! xoxo
I have a canon 5d mark iii 🙂
Thanks for the reply Missy!:)
Where or where did you learn how to take such great pics? Seriously! Am curious – are you self taught? They are really wonderful.
