Shrieking out! Seriously. Shut it. I’m beyond ecstatic!!! Jeepers. Feel like baking cupies or something to celebrate this joyous news! Uh… I need to send you my “bun to baby” binder… It’s in the early stages of future publishing… But it has everything simplified from conception to introducing solids. I made it for my sister & gave to close friends & have now been spreading it far & wide… hence the idea for publishing… Send me your e-mail via my contact page.

I LOVE the Aiden and Anais swaddle blankets! They were a lifesaver with my sweet #3. He was too big for the traditional recieving blankets! I wish I had known about Pacimals when I had my first! It would have saved me A LOT of getting up in the middle of the night trying to find lost binkies!

    • missy May 10, 2011 at 9:22 pm

That’s the prob with all those other blankies out there… they’re small or shrink to blankets that can only be used for a doll! Hey… give pacimals a try with #4!! Haha! Diggin’ in bizniz that’s not my own…

I absolutely love your baby picks. Some of them are new to me so I am excited to try.

And your schedules are fantastic. I worked with a loose schedule for my son and it worked wonders. Going to download these for tips for my little girl!
    Thank you!!

Anna, so glad you enjoyed the post! If you have any issues finding some of the items – let me know & I can steer you in a more detailed direction. I sincerely appreciate your feedback & support & not to mention spreading the love via twitter. You’re a doll!

These schedules are what worked for me and have been requested by many – so I figured I put ’em out there for others to use/adapt according to their needs.

Keep the pics coming of your little angel baby! She’s so stunning! Really.

      xo

Dang it! all the good stuff is coming out AFTER I had my last! I would have loved the thin blankets and pacimals. Your baby schedule sounds a lot like Babywise – we did that really well with Grant – then it became more difficult with each additional kid – preschool drop off/pick up, soccer practice, dance class, etc, etc, etc . .. you just have to be less OCD about it and more adaptable, but I still always woke my newborns up during the day for feedings every 2 or so hours. Can’t wait to read your baby binder when it gets published! You should totally do a couple posts on your life binder!! Get the rest of us organized! 🙂

    • missy May 12, 2011 at 12:28 pm

Tanj! I wonder if I’ll be saying the same thing in a few years “All the good stuff came out AFTER I had my munkins!” The thin blankets are good even now – him being almost a year, they’re that big. No, I’m not still swaddling! As you know the muggy air doesn’t lend itself to blankies… but these are still light enough to cover him up.

Sleep schedules are a combination of several books (yes, one being Babywise) I read plus personal opinion/experience.

Life binder? Okay! You got it. Would you like more deets on food planning/organizing or more of the cleaning schedule?

Glad you’re finding the blog fun & helpful! I miss your guts, Tanji! Love u! xo

I was wondering if your book has been released yet. My husband and I have been talking about starting a family and I would like to have all the information I can before we officially start. Thanks. PS: I love you blog.

Thanks for this post! I started trying the 8- to 12-week-old schedule with our son a few weeks ago (he’s 11 weeks now) and at first, the cycle wasn’t working because he was consistently nursing himself to sleep. Also, he was wanting to stay up in the morning for about 5-6 hrs before his first nap, so I gave up. THEN… I decided to start trying to put him down for a nap after he had been awake for only an hour, because he was yawning and rubbing his eyes and I was NOT picking up on his tired signals before this! Turns out he was exhausted and I think that’s why we were having nap problems in the first place. So by putting him down for a nap each time he’d been awake for an hour or hour and a half, your EASE schedule started falling into place naturally and it works out really well for us! 🙂 He still wants to eat every 2-2.5 hrs, but that’s okay. It’s all working out and he sleeps well at night – has since he was 5 weeks old.

Anyways, thank you so much. We’re going to try to transition to the 2-naps-a-day schedule here in a few weeks. Fingers crossed!

I love how you wrote out the daily schedule so simply here. Printing for very future use!! 🙂

Love this method! I studied child development and so we have had lots of discussions of this nature. This is a gentle, yet effective method. I have a hard time with the 2 hour cry it out methods of sleep training. This one makes a lot more sense and isn’t so traumatic.
