Trucks that go Brrmm

January 24, 2012

Little Mister is all about trucks and anything that makes loud BRRRMM noises!

When we heard the Monster Truck Rally was coming to town we just HAD to go.

As we prepared for the adventure, ensuring every detail catered to Little Mister’s love for trucks, one thing became clear – our trusty Jeep needed a makeover to match the excitement of the event.

That’s when we stumbled upon the perfect solution is custom fitted jeep seat covers. These vibrant and durable covers not only added a touch of style to our ride but also provided the comfort needed for our little truck enthusiast during the journey to the rally.

Little Mister’s eyes lit up with delight as he noticed the truck-themed design on the custom seat covers, enhancing the overall experience of our Monster Truck Rally adventure. It was a small yet significant detail that made our trip even more memorable, blending seamlessly with the roaring excitement of the event itself.

When we reached walking into the stadium would go a little something like this… Pointing accompanied by excessive grunting (which translates into “I LOOOVE THIS!”).

The whole scene was set.

And then we walked in. And what followed was anything but the highly anticipated grunts of pure enjoyment we’re so accustomed to.

Speechless. Emotion AND motionless. Completely flabbergasted.

The “Monster Mutt” (aka dog truck) was his favorite!

We left before the trucks got really crazy & loud because he wouldn’t keep his earplugs in. . .

He was NOT ok with our decision to leave. The bloodcurdling wails caused onlookers to say, “The poor baby is scared! Aww!” If they only knew his eruption was because he wanted to STAY!

Over and over in-between screeches he repeated, “More! More! More!”

I did what any broken-hearted Mama would do. I caved.

Who wants donuts?

Both misters were happy with the suggestion.

Needless to say, I can foresee the Monster Truck Rally being a yearly event.

And most likely the donuts too!

This is too precious! My little brother used to love trucks and spaceships, now he is into video games and basketball…they grow too fast.

Our #1 rule in this house is “stay cute and little forever” He’s agreed. So we should be good. 😉

aww.. looks like a fun time. Those donuts look mighty good. I feel like getting one, but I’m still under the weather with an awful cold, so maybe I should hold off on the sugar. 🙂 Sprinkles are always the best… my favorite. 🙂

Feel better, Care Bear! Definitely worth staying away from the sugar so it passes faster. Wash it away with tea 🙂

My son LOVES those shows! We go everytime they come but we missed this one because of another family event. Hugh has loved monster trucks since he was 2 (he will be 6 next month) and has no lie like 50 little trucks!! Glad your son had a great time! You might want to look into getting the ear muff things that block out noise, I’m not sure what they are called but that’s what my son has. He wore those when he was little way better then ear plugs. He can still hear but it blocks alot out.

Where does one buy toy monster trucks? Maybe I shouldn’t encourage this inner love for all things redneck… Oi!

    • Becca January 28, 2012 at 1:19 pm

Oh lots of places, Target, Walmart, Toys R Us… You can get 3 different size trucks, big ones, medium trucks that are pull and roll, and then the small ones. My son got his first monster truck when he was two and the obbession started there. He wants to be a monster truck driver when he grows up, and for halloween he was Blue Thunders driver Linsey Weenk.

Aw so cute! I LOVE his curly hair! Who does he get that from? I guess going to monster truck rallies is part of the fun of having boys, haha! You just need a third – a girl – to balance it out with some ballet recitals lol!

    • missy January 26, 2012 at 1:23 pm

I had curly hair at his age and still do (more natural waves – not in the good way). And yes, you’re completely right… I NEED ballet and tutus!

    • missy January 26, 2012 at 1:24 pm

      It’s a Nikon D5000, my dear. xo

Love his little curls! My husband has very curly hair and I’m really hoping our little boys get it.

    • missy January 26, 2012 at 1:26 pm

It’s really fun to style because it can do a lot of different things (straight, waves, or curly). Who knows what it’ll turn into when he’s older or if he’ll even let me touch his hair. But for now I love playing with his locks. ha!

Awww he is just adorrable! How fun for him. Must of been hard getting him out of there.

Oh man… true would LOVE it! When’s the monster truck rally coming to our neck of the woods? hmm… 🙂

    • missy January 26, 2012 at 1:27 pm

Do they do these sort of things outside of the South? My eyes have been opened to so many different ways of life… Can you say, deep fried oreos?

  • Jaclyn Thayn January 25, 2012 at 7:41 pm

My little man is obsessed with monster trucks as well and he has quite the collection. His favorite is Grave Digger and we are on our way to see the monster truck rally for his birthday in a few weeks. Hope he will keep his ear plugs in!!!
