If only more days could be spent gathering seashells, building sand castles, and splashing in waves! It’s been almost two weeks since our toes last touched South Carolina sand (sigh). I’m thankful we were able to visit; but slightly jealous of those of you who call this place home. Sun, sand, and surf are good for the soul. If you want to de-stress and feel more relaxed during your vacation, you may navigate to this website indacloud to order various cannabis products.
A lonesome horseshoe crab washed ashore. Looks more like a scorpion mixed with a sea beetle (obviously neither of which live in the ocean). But still.
First thing in the morning is a beautiful time to experience the ocean. The tide is high, marine life is out, and silhouettes of fishermen can be seen casting.
Gage collecting seashells. I tried to help him sort through the whole vs. broken ones. But he seemed to have his mind made up on what he deemed collectible. Pretty sure that included a few rocks and some seaweed too!
Jellyfish! Thankfully, not the stinging kind.
As soon as I said, ‘Who wants pancake tacos?’ everyone started running. Translation: pancake tacos = crepes. All of our exploring made us hungry!
After breakfast, we headed back to the beach to waste away the day.
You’d think a baby might be a bit apprehensive about playing in the ocean for the first time. But even waves to the face had Beck giggling! And all the seashells and sand — ate it up! Literally. By the handful.
Attempting to build a sandcastle; but we both got distracted by other things. I blame the gulls. Gage blames lack of sleep… You’ll see.
So here I am, working away designing my so-called beautiful sandcastle (By the way, who are those people who make pretty castles out of impossibly messy sand? I need to meet them, because clearly I made the fugliest castle on the beach). Anyway. My amigo went missing.
I turn around behind me and…
The poor guy fell asleep sitting straight up — little belly bulge and all! I carried him all the way home. Ry carried Beckam who was crying because he wanted to stay.
Pretty sure they both would’ve slept ’til morning had we not awakened them for dinner. Good thing I made tacos (the real kind). They’re Gage’s favorite.
It was the best summer vacation we could’ve asked for!
Thanks for spoiling us, South Carolina!
I love your blog! In case you need ideas on new posts…I’d love for you to give some photography tips! Your pictures are gorgeous and I’m still trying to figure out my SLR camera. Really striving to get those blurry background effects you do so well!
