In November, the smell of food is different. It’s an apple and orange and cinnamon smell. It’s warm and fills up a house in the morning — can pull everyone from sleepy beds. Such is the case every Sunday in our cozy house. Food is especially good, in November. And so is this syrup. It’s the essence of fall — made to shower a steamy waffle. When creating the recipe, I figured I’d add the butter into the syrup to eliminate the need to butter the waffle! Why oh why did it take me so long to figure out this trick? Oh and I highly recommend serving maple sausages, alongside. Mmm, so so good!
Yum! Xx
