If you’re anything like me, when bedtime rolls around and your head hits the pillow, you instantly start downloading and uploading all at the same time! A crazy conundrum — mentally writing down the to-do list, replaying the good and the not-so-good from the day, and the countless creative dreams that start magically painting themselves into pictures. On one such night in February, frost on the windows and wishing of warmer days to come, I could envision her 1st birthday party: her hair in pigtails, the blurry bursts of colors from blossoms backdropping her simple white cake, eyelet accents, how she’d clap and point and delicately taste bits of the frosting. And then it was decided in my daydream, of sorts… fresh flower garlands had to be made. And once an idea like that gets cozy in my conscience (fuzzy blanket, tea and all), it knocks around in my head like a kid practicing drums — demanding to be paid attention to, requesting ever-so-obnoxiously to be brought into life! But you know what? I love it. I need creation in my life. It keeps me ticking; and brings so much light and joy into my family’s life. And when it’s all said and done, these little creative endeavors are my confession: I wholeheartedly love my people. Madly.
This was one of my favorite of all your projects. Simply beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
Tickled pink you think so! xo
So so pretty! I love this project. How do you get the background to be so white? Are you using a white backdrop? Thanks!
Yes it’s a background! Comes in handy for things like this!!
I’d like to know too about the white background. Please tell us.
It’s a large roll of white backdrop paper hung on a stand. You can find ones similar on Amazon or your local camera store! 🙂
