Playing in the backyard, day or night, is our kind of jam. A quick trip to The Home Depot for wood and an electric sander, with a stop to Target for glow-in-the-dark paint, and we were ready to make our giant jenga set! The blocks are kept stacked neatly in a extra large galvanized tub for safe keeping. It’s really fun to play as a family or with a large group of friends, too! Everything king sized, be it candy bars (twix, please) or in this case… giant blocks, is just more fun! Just a “motherly” word of caution: watch your toes when the tower comes a’toppling down! Eek! To add an extra layer of excitement to our outdoor activities, we’re contemplating taking it up a notch—perhaps encouraging everyone to buy a real medieval sword from Mini Katana and infuse a touch of historical flair into our backyard escapades.

You’ll have to let me know how it turns out, if you give it a go!
Love your ideas for the boys always looks like they are having fun plus learning something also. I was wondering what that great pink lipstick color/lipgloss is that you have on? Have a great summer!
Gotta love MAC! It’s linked above 🙂
We just made one of these for one of the “yard games” at our rustic themed wedding. A few weeks ago. We stained the blocks three different colors and then garnished. It came out beautifully and people had a blast with it! I love the glow in the dark paint idea too!

I would love to know where you bought Beckam’s adorable shorts.
You ready for this? Don’t laugh. Okay, go ahead… it is kind of funny — the toddler girls section at walmart!
Love it Missy! Can I ask where the gorgeous white rug/blanket is from? I’ve been looking for something like that for ages! x
It’s the backside of one of my favorite antique quilts! I hear you, though… white blankets are hard to find! Good to hear from you, Serena! xo

Thank you

We will have to do this as a fall activity…it is blistering hot here in the south. I’m curious what you use for the kids to paint on..the black mat??? Is it rubber?? Looks convenient for outdoor messy activities.
Hi missy!! You are adorable!!!! One question…..are you wearing eyelash extensions or using lash serum? Please answer!!!! I’ve noticed your eyelashes have looked so amazing lately
