In the eyes of a munchkin, cookies + candy = is the perfect combination. For a mom, an entire gingerbread house means mess and stress. So, thus began the hunt for a giant gingerbread house cookie cutter. One big enough to feel like you’ve decorated an entire house without the haphazard assembly or toddler tears.
Success!
Give them as gifts, eat under a twinkly tree, or share them with Santa!
Tips: I used THIS cookie cutter set (that also includes a gingerbread family). My dear friend, Dani from Sweet Dani B, makes AMAZING cookies (see her youtube channel) and sells the handiest cookie decorating tool kit. The squeeze bottles coupled with tweezers for placing tiny decorations, makes the whole flawless-looking-cookie-thing effortless.

This is completely adorable! I love this concept because I always get so many decorating ideas… Too many ideas to put on one house! But the front part is the most important anyway 😉 Now I could do multiple!
These look so amazing – pinning now!

Just bought the cutters! Will use them next year when my boys are older, so excited! Love them! What a great idea! Thanks friend! 🙂
I got the cookie cutters today! YAY! Now I’m almost ready to start a’ building…. Do you have a particular gingerbread recipe that you follow?? Thanks for the adorable ideas!
I used my favorite packaged mix from World Market. It’s not overly “gingery” and my boys love it (minus the babe, of course). wink wink
I LOVE the design of your cookie houses with all the peppermint trim…adorable!
