Is it just me or has granola seemed to lose it’s place on our pantry shelves? In the 1990’s it was “totally all that” — and it’s definitely high time to bring it back, hammer style. Alright home-slice, that’s enough “talk to the hand” slang for one day. But seriously, if we all knew how easy it was to make ourselves, there would be no turning back to sugary store-bought brands. For years our family used THIS recipe; but it was time to switch it up a bit. This new cinnamon vanilla almond granola recipe is crunchier, packed with popping flavor, and is universal enough to use on more than just yogurt and fruit. Try it as a topping for PB and apples, with milk, or even on ice-cream (might I suggest with bananas and caramel – whoa!). I promise, you’ll love it!
Oh yum! I must make this! Thanks friend! Xo
I can’t wait to try this! Thanks!!
Will definitely be making this! I have gradually been steering away from store bought granola, cereal etc..way too much sugar. All natural home made is the best thanks!
We made this today and the smell while it was baking was heavenly! I love the flavors! I followed the recipe exactly and ours was a bit overdone/very slightly burnt. I read somewhere else that the coconut can be added during the last 15 minutes since it cooks faster so we may try again doing that and turning the temp down a bit. Thanks for another great recipe– I always love the ones you share!
ps– I usually don’t love granola (though my husband and kids do) because it tends to be too sweet for me but the amount of sweetness in this recipe was perfect!
I’m always looking for a new and different granola recipe! This one looks yummy and I can’t wait to try it! Think I’ll add some fried cranberries too! Thanks!
DRIED cranberries! Not fried! Yuck!
I love granola! I start most days with a parfait… homemade granola, local yogurt, and organic fruit. The granola I make uses peanut butter, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and cashews. It is so good!
