Cake Is Always a Good Idea

In my book, cake is basically ALWAYS a good idea. Especially if the so-called cake involves citrus! Ugh. SO good.

With grapefruits in full season and spring making her debut — this cake is the perfect way to enjoy both!

And just in case the cake alone wasn’t enough – top it off with more grapefruit: a simple syrup and glaze (oh my stars) and a fresh dollop of vanilla whipped cream to round out all the tart with a little sweet.

Faceplant, here I come!

    This sounds so yummy! It reminds me of a lemony poundcake, but with a more creative twist. I am always looking for a fun way to use the produce that’s in season, and I have 2 big grapefruits in my fridge that will be perfect for this! 🙂

    I made this cake over the weekend and it was amazing! It wasn’t overpowering with grapefruit (I was only worried for the hubs, me bring on the grapefruit). It was light and refreshing and going to become a staple in our home.
