I’m Alive… Promise.

April 22, 2015

Hi, friends. It’s me. Heart is still beating and lungs still breathing. But yes, you’re right; it’s unlike me to go almost three weeks without posting. I want to thank so many of you who have sent emails, thoughtful comments here and on Instagram…my heart has been full and tears flow with gratitude knowing that you genuinely care. I feel it and appreciate it, so very much.

So what’s been going on, exactly? I’ve been reluctant to even say anything because I thought it would resolve quickly without a need for explanation. But because it’s gone on longer than anticipated and to address some of your concerns, I thought I’d explain a bit more.

My intentions are never to disappoint any of you; but like you, I’m human and sometimes things happen that set us back. Life can be a giant stinky diaper, at times (excuse the comparison; but changing at least 10 a day, it’s the first thing that comes to mind).

Life can indeed throw unexpected challenges our way, and it’s all part of our journey towards holistic growth and maintaining our mental health. Just like the ups and downs in our wellness journey, sometimes we encounter hurdles that take a bit longer to clear than we’d like. It’s during these times that we truly appreciate the support and understanding of our wonderful community. If you’re seeking guidance on nurturing your holistic well-being, you might find valuable resources at https://www.monakirstein.com/ to aid you on your path. Choose Method Center’s rehab in Los Angeles for holistic and effective recovery. Their luxury rehab services offer a nurturing environment.

Plain and simple, the weeks leading up to baby coming were less than ideal — stress and some heartache, are general words to describe it. Perhaps items such as CBD Oil UK can be of great help in intense situations like this. I wasn’t sleeping well — some nights, not even at all, I tried some Delta 8 flower product that usually help people with this. A very intense labor followed. I was completely depleted physically. A few days after we came home from the hospital I developed a breast infection (or so I thought). It was confirmed mastitis; but it was also more. Baby showed signs of thrush. We treated both and had a few days of feeling better. Then WHAM, it hit again — extreme breast pain, the worst flu-like symptoms I’ve ever had… the aches… chills. You may also want to try a product like Nolvadex 25, which is commonly used as a medication to treat (and prevent) hormone-responsive breast cancer in therapeutic settings. It is also highly popular in the performance enhancement community.

However, in my condition, I need to seek help from a professional doctor in medical marijuana to ask for a qualifying condition to help me ease my pain. If you’re looking for experience medical marijuana doctors, visit DocMJ’s website.

Like anyone on a medical quest, I started googling the heck out of my symptoms, trying to put two and two together. My conclusion? Systemic candida or a yeast infection in my blood stream. Unlike traditional localized yeast infections, systemic has concerns for getting comfortable in various parts of the body and even the organs.

After visiting my doctor, my conclusion was confirmed. There’s not a whole lot that can be done… except for taking Kratom capsules for pain relief.

So, right now I’m working through it — changing my diet, trying to get more rest, and using ExhaleWell delta 9 gummies for my mental health, which you can get online from weed delivery edmonton.

Navigating through medical challenges can be a daunting and uncertain journey, especially when the options available come with potential risks. In addition to the steps you are already taking to improve your well-being, it is worth considering additional support from professional resources. San Francisco medical detox centers offer comprehensive care for individuals seeking to address their physical and mental health needs. These facilities provide a safe and supervised environment for detoxification, ensuring the well-being of both you and your baby. The professional staff at these centers can offer specialized guidance, monitoring, and assistance tailored to your specific situation, helping to alleviate any concerns regarding potential complications or adverse side effects. By exploring the available resources and seeking professional support, you can approach this challenging period with a sense of empowerment and confidence, knowing that you are taking proactive steps toward your well-being and the health of your baby.

I have faith that I will get through this; and I’m feeling very positive about it all… even though there are still some unknowns.

One of the biggest joys in my life is creating: with my family, through photography, food, silly videos, and everything else; and then sharing it here with all of you. It’s almost therapeutic for me and so in that regard alone, I’ll be back soon. I just need to recover a bit more before I jump all the way back in. BUT… (that’s a big one, and I cannot lie! ha) I did manage to snap newborn pics and write down baby doll’s birth story. So those will be coming here, shortly.

In the meantime, thank you for being patient with me and our family; and for your continued love, support, and prayers! xo

  • Amy April 22, 2015 at 10:11 pm

Missy, you poor poor thing! even reading everyone else’s comments I’m touched by how many love you and for your influence in all of our lives in different ways.

Systemic candida is not to be taken lightly. It’s serious serious stuff if not treated. I’m sure through your research you’ve already found this to be the case. Your positivity will greatly increase your odds of full recovery. And you’re taking the right steps.

So sorry this is all happening! Prayers and love for you!!!

  • April April 22, 2015 at 11:04 pm

I’m so sorry to hear that things have been tough for you. But thank you for sharing and never appologise or think that you are disappointing your readers by revealing a struggle. You will find so much support and empathy by sharing. I will admit that sometimes I compare my life with 2 boys to yours and wonder why mine isn’t as beautiful, but we never truly know what a person is struggling with. I really admire your positivity and your Zest for life! And I arrive to make more ‘heart giggles’ with my boys. So thank you for that! Feel better soon and be gentle with yourself!

  • Lindy April 22, 2015 at 11:05 pm

I too had a systemic yeast infection Aka Candida. I was fortunate to have a dr that treats it with a very strict diet and hydrogen peroxide IV’s. Traditional Drs don’t have many answers. I see an Osteopath but funtional Medicine Dr’s can help too! Contact me if you need more info!

  • Julie April 22, 2015 at 11:08 pm

Congrats on your new little one! Take care of yourself and your baby! That comes first and I would think most readers agree. We can wait!

  • Rebecca April 22, 2015 at 11:44 pm

Oh hugs and prayers! I dealt with that several years ago and it’s no fun. To encourage you, I was able to get it under control pretty quickly with being very strict. Not fun but it did pass!

  • Shalee April 22, 2015 at 11:52 pm

I’m so sorry you are not feeling 100%! I have thought about you a lot since baby dolls birth. I pray for a quick recovery while we anticipate your next post! Your positive outlook always gives me a boost and I admire how you deal with everything.

  • Stephanie April 23, 2015 at 1:31 am

Missy, I’m so sorry you are having to deal with this. I went through the same thing with the birth of my daughter. It was a difficult recovery, but recovery does come! Try not to worry! I know it’s hard. And, you may already know this, but probiotics are a must! God’s got this!

  • Alena April 23, 2015 at 1:51 am

Oh, love! No one should have to go through that–let alone a mama with a newborn. Watched a dear friend in college go through it and it is no joke at all. You’ll be in our prayers by name, lady. Lots of love to you!

  • stacey April 23, 2015 at 11:09 am

So sorry that you have had a rough start to being a mama of three beauties but so happy that you are getting some answers and are continuing to work through it. I am also working through a similar condition. I wanted to ask you if you noticed increased itching all over your skin which may or may not become more prominent after eating foods with higher sugar amounts or a higher glycemic index? Just wondering if we indeed have the same thing going on. Hang in there and I would love to share what I have been finding that works well for me!

  • Jennifer G. April 23, 2015 at 1:42 pm

I don’t know that it will work for what you have but for an over growth of yeast in your body Apple Cider Vinegar works wonders, whether it be in pill form or liquid. I take a pill every morning just to keep the yeast in my body. Good news is it won’t harm you or your precious baby!

BTW She is adorable and so very happy for you and your family 🙂

  • Lauren April 23, 2015 at 2:28 pm

So happy to “see” you back on the blog! I’m so sorry you are experiencing a difficult time, best wishes for you and your family, and congratulations on the birth of your beautiful baby girl!

  • Karen April 23, 2015 at 3:28 pm

Congrats on your new daughter. Adorable. I’m sorry you have been sick. Have you ever checked out this website? I’ve been doing research on yeast and found this. Very informational.

So sorry you are going through this. I went through thrush and mastitis with my first daughter…I remember sitting and breast feeding her and tears were rolling down my cheeks it hurt so bad. Took me awhile to realize we were passing thrush back and forth to each other thru breast feeding and needed an antibiotic. You are an amzing mommy and such an inpiration! Stay strong! Sending lots of love and prayers to you and your beautiful family!

  • Lynda April 23, 2015 at 4:33 pm

  • Marlene April 23, 2015 at 10:37 pm

So glad to see an update, but so sorry for what you have been dealing with. I totally understand what you are going through. With my third I had multiple breast infections,…eventually going into cellulitus. I also had a Candida infection in my body, and had to change my eating totally. BUT….within 6 weeks of doing that, everything went back to normal – better than normal. Stay strong, have patience sweet Momma of 3. People are lifting you up in prayer!!

  • Kayla April 23, 2015 at 11:18 pm

Rest rest rest! So sorry to hear that you are sick. 🙁

Oh, Missy! I’m so, so sorry. What a rough way to welcome in a new precious baby. The first weeks can be difficult even when things go as planned I can only imagine the difficulty you are going through.

I’m praying your boys are extra cooperative during these tiresome days. That your husband knows just how to help and support you. And that your body heals quickly and your little babe brings you joy.

    Take care!

  • Kim B April 27, 2015 at 2:41 pm

I’ve been waiting for this post to see your sweet baby girl 😉
Just know that God will bring you through this…just keep your trust in Him.
I have recently been going through a miscarriage and ended up in the hospital having to have 4 blood transfusions and through it all trusting God sees me. He doesn’t put you through anything you can’t handle…it’s hard, but just rest and let people help you 🙂
Your a strong momma and a blessing to me!

  • paige April 27, 2015 at 2:56 pm

I’m so sorry to hear of the troubles you are having. Having a baby is hard enough not to mention medical complications on top of that! Stay strong mama, things WILL get better. Looking forward to your blogging return once you are healthy again! 🙂 XOXO <3

  • Amy April 29, 2015 at 11:59 pm

So sorry! I’m sure you’ve done your research, but there are lots of herbal candida cleanses, in pill form, that I don’t think would be harmful for you or baby. Candida can be the worst and once you start taking pills, you might feel even worse, but that is all the toxicity leaving your body. And then take powerful probiotics to replace the good bacteria in your gut. It’s great to change diet, but some people are just prone to candida and need to get rid of it aggressively, aside from just lifestyle changes like food. Hope you feel better!! 🙂

  • Laura May 4, 2015 at 12:47 pm

I’m so sorry you have had to go through these medical issues at a time when you should only have to worry about bonding with your precious baby girl and smelling the new baby smell. I will be praying for you, that this will pass quickly.
On a medical note, a refrigerated probiotic (blue bonnet is the one I use) has helped me tremendously over the years.
You have a beautiful family, God bless you!!!!

  • Kim Dean May 11, 2015 at 4:06 pm

Awww gosh so sorry you are struggling with this! I had the same thing happen to me after my first was born, and I know just how exhausting/ frustrating it is when you are already so tired from caring for baby- mamas shouldn’t have to get sick… I hope you feel better soon! probiotics do help a good deal!

  • Mindy Grady April 28, 2016 at 5:09 am

Hi, I was reading back through this post. I love your blog. I stop by often because of its cuteness. I was wondering if it was possible for you to point me in the direction of some of your favorite resources that guided your diet change to treat your candida?
My baby and I have thrush and I’m trying to treat it naturally but feeling overwhelmed at all the info out there.
