Earlier this week, the towhead lost his “anything sweet” privileges for 24 hours. He knew blatantly well the consequence before sneaking out of his bed and making a ruckus to interfere with his older brother’s sleep. Truth be told it’s not the first time — he’s been known to hide behind curtains or in tiny corners waiting for one last hug before bedtime. It’s cute, really. And of course he always gets a hug and some disguised trying-to-keep-a-straight-face muffled giggles. But regardless, I try my hardest to stay true to my word when it comes to consequences. However, come morning, I almost failed by suggesting a donut run (mom of the year award, right here). Thankfully I was reminded when he said, “Instead of losing treats for a day, how about you pull my teeth instead?” Kids and candy, man. It’s their favorite. Bring on Halloween and ALL its goodies galore!
Those are some sweet looking kiddos you have there Missy! I miss our Blue Cedar afternoons so much at this time of year! Happy Fall! ?
