It was my first time shooting a gun (and my sister-in-law’s too)! Purely for recreational purposes, of course. I’m thankful my brothers aren’t into the whole ‘harming furry friends’ thing, either. Who knew shooting Fresca cans in the middle of Colorado nowhere would be so fun.
Just call me, a wannabe Charlie’s Angel.
Oh fun! We used to shoot the barrels that were floating in our pond back when we lived in the country. Every couple months we wanted to remind our neighbors that we did indeed have guns! It was a country think…
And looking cute while doing it is always a plus!! We go shooting a lot, but I am not one for the animal game. But shhh don’t tell anyone up here in Alaska. haha
It sure did look you were having fun…I´m happy for you…being with family is the best thing in the world, it feels like you recharge somehow with happiness, laughter and love for the rest of the year..until Christmas and then you get to visit each other again :))
Love your post! what nail polish are you wearing?
It’s either Mint Candy Apple by Essie or Butter London, can’t remember.
Hey Missy. A while back on an old post (you were wearing a grey and white striped top and a pair of dark wash adorable jeans!!) do you have any idea where you got that outfit? Id love to try to find it. You have the CUTEST style, I love all your posts!! I stumbled upon this blog by accident over the weekend and now its my favorite one to read! <3
I’m not sure exactly without knowing the particular post… but I’m thinking it might be when we went to San Francisco? The top is from Manhattanite and jeans are Target (links are in the post). Thank you for your sweet words!
what nail polish are you wearing?
Pretty sure it’s ‘Mint Candy Apple’ by Essie. I have another one by Butter London that looks almost identical but can’t think of the name off the top of my head.
I need to learn how to do that. My brother just got back from a 5 day hunting trip, got an antelope and a deer. Now his wife gets to be creative with game meat! 🙂
Where are those cute brown boots from?
They’re Joe’s from Nordstrom
Hi Missy, I love your style and I have a style question for you. I’m attending a beach wedding in December, the dress code is “beachy/comfortable with your discretion” what would you wear? Any ideas for something modest, yet not dowdy? For reference we look to be relatively the same size (but I’m burnette:-)
Thanks, Joanne
I’d wear a simple maxi dress and play it up with beachy hair and chunky turquoise jewelry!
looking good missy! and your outfit was totally adorable too! perfect for a little shooting session! xo

I LOVE your SIL hair…Is it all one length or layered..I know, silly question but I am due for a new do LOL
It’s basically one length with tapered layers in the front to frame her face – she’s growing it out… used to be a pixie!
Fun fun..you are so adventurous!!
Whst does your t shirt say?is it a mens size?
It’s a mens small from HM
That would have been so much fun, I have done it a few times and I love it!! Love your outfit also, pretty as always!
Ash xo,
Sincerely Miss Ash
What a spin! Never tried to shoot a gun. Loved the picture of the can “exploding”, full of color.
Kisses.
2 things:
1) Does your t-shirt say The Neverending Story? If so, awesome!
2) I have pale skin like your sister-in-law and I was wondering if she was wearing any foundation? If so, what brand & color? Her skin looks great!
I think it’s useful to know how to shoot a gun, but I’m on the same wagon as you – not for harming things. I’ve always wanted to do this. The most I’ve shot is a small riffle in HS and I wasn’t very good at that 😉
I grew up shooting. My dad was a gun collector. So we got to try everything, shotguns, handguns, rifles, machine guns, small cannons. It was so much fun. We live in the country now and shoot off our back porch into the cannon. Blessed. It’s a great feeling and fun. Safety is key though. Glad you got to try it.
