Magic Bubbles

August 4, 2011

It may seem silly & simple – but for a babe who has never seen bubbles before, the experience is pretty magical! As his mother, watching this simple wonder had me in tears. (Quite the sap I’ve become!)

No need to go out to the store… You’ve got everything you need, right in your own kitchen!
For DIY wands you can use pipe cleaners, jars, and more found HERE.

I had never tried homemade bubbles… I must say there’s a big difference! To me I can see him 17 and playing rugby (in this picture)… Maybe that sparked some of the tears as well! Ha! Thank you so much, Kara! xo

You’re so very sweet. I hope that’s the reaction and not, “Mom? Really? Put that camera away! It’s been in my face since day 1… I need a break, already!” Ha! But you’re right; the memories are what will matter most when he’s grown & gone. Can’t bear to even think of that right now…

Don’t worry, we have leftovers. Pretty sure he’ll be pointing to the wand in now time with some “grunts” to say he wants another round! 🙂 Have a beautiful Thursday, friend.

He is just adorable. Was just blowing bubbles with my niece and it brought the “kid” out in me all over again . So much fun 🙂

Isn’t it crazy how sometimes we lose sight of simple things that can be so fun? For whatever reason we think… We have to do something expensive or big to get the same experience. Bubbles are kinda magic like that! How old is your niece? 🙂

I’ll never forget the first time Ben saw bubbles. I was thankful to catch it on video…he clapped ferosiously while he laughed and shouted, “BUBBLES!!!” I think that was actually his first word behind momma and dada 🙂

Thanks for the recipe. We seem to go through bubbles really fast around our place. Usually more bubble solution ends up on the floor than on the wand. 🙂
