Twas the night before Halloween and all through the house, not a creature was stirring not even a monster. Errr, I mean, mouse! ha! Over the years, October has grown to be one of my most favorite months of the year. The changing colors, the cozy nights, the warm food and of course, festive literature enjoyed together with my children. Typically we set aside one special night for ‘Smores and Stories’ to enjoy the commencement of the season. Over the years the treat has varied; but the stories and good company remain the same. This year, we added a few more to our collection (see the list below) — with ‘Creepy Carrots!’ being a new hilarious favorite! What are some of your favorites that warm your heart and home?
A Few of Our New & Old Favorite Halloween Stories:
- Creepy Carrots! (new)

Aren’t children’s books just the best? I loved some of these titles with my children, lots of special memories for me and them. They are big readers now too. I have never regretted the time I spent reading to them. Such a sweet and fun post. Blessings to all of you!
Adorable! The candy apples look so delish! It’s nice to see you back posting again. I’m sure I’m not the only one who was worried and hope that you, baby and the rest of the family are doing well. Take care, enjoy your precious moments with your baby and if you’re too busy or tired don’t worry about the blog… it’s not important. In time you can get back up to speed with it if you want, but for now take care of you and your family. Best wishes!
