We had just finished our toast, when the rain started. Gage worried (as he always does when it rains) that thunder might follow. He checked for signs of the wind’s strength – looking at the flickering leaves on the trees.
He predicted, “The bunnies should hide.”
And he was right.
It poured!
We sat in the stairwell watching the water rush down the street.
You want to go play in it? I asked.
Not now, Mama! Not NOW! Hmm… Maybe tomorrow.
What if the clouds don’t bring the rain back to play?
He asked for his rain boots.
But left them on the front porch.
Because REAL puddle jumping should be felt with the toes.
And of course, Baby tagged along for kicks (splashes, a yellow leaf) and giggles!
Aren’t the simple things in life the best?
Adorable!!! I wish I was young again lol!
Xo,
Sincerely Miss Ash

Love everything about this post. Your words. His words. The pictures. It’s simply perfect. It rains a lot where I live {seattle} I need to start embracing it more. 🙂
This post is absolutely beautiful – one of my very favorites! You have me wishing for some rain for my little guys to splash around in.
