Reuben’s and pistachio gelato were about as far as we went in celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. Why do we celebrate it, anyway? A quick google search and I’m still confused about it all. All I know is, it’s a good excuse to wear green, eat unique food, and hunt for Shamrocks! Speaking of green… baby intentionally boycotted the holiday in his anti-green stripes. Might have something to do with a Mama who wants any excuse to pinch & squeeze him a bit more!
Ummm..did you make that Reuben?!!! It looks amazing!!!
guilty. ry requested corned beef… so after it was all said and done i ended up making sandwiches with it. wish you could’ve been there to share them with us!
Cutest pictures ever!!!
Xox,

you’re very kind! thank you!
It really is a beer drinking holiday… I used to go all out, dress like a ridiculous leprechaun, and make a day out of it. But this year I’m pregnant and I was shocked with how little you celebrate when you can’t or don’t drink. There’s not even any kind of food to make in celebration. It’s a little embarrassing to look back on those younger years now…
congrats on your bumpcake!
Please do a post on your outfit!! what nail color are you wearing?
it’s essie in blanc 🙂
aww what cute pictures!!! what a great day for your family xox
How cute! That Reuben sandwich looks Deslicious! Is it just deli meat?
it’s slow roasted corned beef, steamed cabbage, marbled colby & swiss, and a special homemade russian dressing
Adorable pictures!!! 🙂 love your outfit!
thank you! xo
I have to say I have no idea why we celebrate it outside of Ireland. I don’t think the Irish celebrate Independence Day or Canada Day etc…But I don’t want to sound like a party pooper!
I had no idea Reubens were Irish…but the ice cream looks amazing!
i confess: i sometimes come to this blog for recipes, but mainly i come for the baby pics. so sweet (:
Pistachio ice cream is such a great idea! Of course you would think of that! I will have to remember that. If you are Catholic, you are celebrating the saint’s day. It’s funny because St. Patrick was actually English, not Irish, but he was a bishop in Ireland.
Where are your pants from?! I have been on the hunt for the perfect floral print
The pictures in the clover patch are adorable!
I did a little research on St Paddy’s Day this year since this year I realized I will one day have to explain it to my LO. St Patrick brought Christianity to Ireland. And the celebration actually started in New York, where the first St Paddy’s Day Parade was held. A fun tidbit that I found was that the three leaf clover represents the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit.
You guys are such a precious little Family 🙂 I love all the pictures, and I hope you are having a wonderful week!!!
That reuben is mouthwatering! And that ice cream…yum!
